Thomas Hsu, CFO, brings over 30 years of financial leadership experience in large solar and technology companies.
Before Clean Focus, Thomas was Senior Vice President and CFO for Neo Solar Power. He started his career with more than 10 years in banking at Bankers Trust, BNP Paribas, and Chase Manhattan Bank, specializing in Treasury and Financial Derivatives.
In 1995, Thomas moved to Winbond Electronics, a global leader in memory chip and logic chip manufacturing. To cope with the 1997 Asian financial crisis, Thomas invented the first ever Mandatory Conversion Total Return Equity Swap transaction, which not only significantly improved Winbond’s capital structure, but also created $50M profit from a single transaction.
As CFO of Innolux, the TFT LCD panel producer in Foxconn Group, Thomas set an Asian record by raising $1.35 billion from a single GDR (Global Depositary Receipt), still the largest GDR offering in Asia up to now.
Thomas graduated with an MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
